"We love working with Jon. He puts at least as much much thought, creativity, and enthusiasm into coming up with a perfect cocktail as we do into the spirit he's working with." --Sebastian Degens Owner/Founder, Stone Barn Brandyworks

His ability to pull things together in a way that you would never think and his ability to take the expected and add an unexpected delightful twist is second to none. Jon’s drink names are fun too! He is a true cocktail architect." --Tra'Renee Chambers Emmy Award-Winning Television and Radio Personality

Memorial Day isn't about grilling, beers, or patio parties.
It's about something far more important: remembering this country's fallen heroes. These brave men and women are awarded the Purple Heart, a medal bestowed on the most heroic of individuals, those injured or killed in the line of duty.
My humble attempt to honor these noble men and women comes in cocktail form: The Purple Heart, an aquavit/purple cabbage/Thai basil/lemon libation.
Raise a glass to those who gave their lives for these United States. Grab the recipe as well as two other Memorial Day drinks, by yours truly, from my latest cocktail segment on KATU's Afternoon Live!
